Not allowed online

Mute, block or report

There are no private messages, friend lists, photos or files, and chat hides links, email addresses and phone numbers. Tap a player's name tag, a chat line or the online badge (on a computer: Enter, then Players). Mute hides their chat, captions and voice on this device. Block goes further: their tag, chat and voice go. Chat: off hides everyone's messages. Voice chat is off until you turn it on.

Report, then pick what happened (bullying or threats, sexual messages, asking for personal info or to move apps, self-harm or danger, an under-age player, hate, offensive chat or name, cheating, spam, something else). The game sends the recent chat with it, so you don't need screenshots.

Not a player?

Anyone can complain: a parent, a teacher, someone talked about. Email the safety address with what happened, when, and the player's name if you know it. Never send pictures of anything sexual involving a child: tell us in words and report it to the police (below).

How reports are handled

A person reads every report. We aim to look at urgent reports (threats, sexual messages, grooming, self-harm) within 24 hours, and the rest as soon as we can. We may warn, mute, kick or ban the player (see the Terms of use). When we act on your report, the game tells you next time you sign in to online play.

Child sexual abuse material, grooming and terrorist material: the player is banned and we report it to the ACCCE or the National Security Hotline. You can report it yourself too: accce.gov.au/report, or the National Security Hotline 1800 123 400.

If something serious isn't fixed, you can report it to eSafety, Australia's online safety regulator: esafety.gov.au/report. Banned and think it's wrong? Email the safety address within 30 days with the ban code from the ban message.

For parents and carers

Solo play has no chat with other people. Online play is opt-in and meant for players 13 and over. Talk with your child about never sharing personal details and telling you if anyone makes them uncomfortable. eSafety's guide: esafety.gov.au/parents.
